Batta Dem for the 5th time! The phrase has become the trademark of Pécs reggae life in the past fey years. Besides organising the different reggae clubs and events, the Batta Dem Crew put have together such a series of programmes that attracts the reggae lovers to Pécs for three days again. Among the most famous and authentic home productions every day another international band will take over the stage. Without a question, this year people will be most interested in Million Stylez (SWE) and Kia Bamba Sound. Million has worked with such names as Beyoncé, Loon, Smif N Wessun (Gangsters Prayer), Mr Vegas (Beat Drop pt2), Bunji …etc. He has played the opening act for Sean Paul, Beenie Man, Elephant Man… One of the most influential national reggae bands, the Ladánybene27 – celebrating the bands 25th annyversary - , Copy Con from Szolnok, and Zagastic from Pécs will guarante this year’s Batta Dem to be the best so far!

Soundsystems: Afro Soul Soundsystem, Dreadhead (GB), Jahfar, Foka, MC Kemon, Easy Sensi Sound, Jafa Mafia, Kya Bamba Sound + Million Stylez (SWE-JAM), PASO Soundsystem, SunCity Soundsystem, TK Sound & Father cut Sleeve (GB).
Besides the evening concerts numerous „off-programmes” wait for the enquirers. The ’By The Force Of Humanity Foundation’ organises several afternoon and evening activities for the visitors of the festival. In the ’Menedék’ (sanctuary) people will find lots of games and can do different recreational activities. During the day the festivalgoers will have the chance to relax and absorb culture at the cáfé of ZION Youth Musician Centre (109 Zsolnay Vilmos utca, Pécs).
Batta Dem 2010 – „Dig Up” talent scout! The organisers are looking for young reggae bands and formations from the country who have no record contract so far! This year – by popular request – the programme will have a separate day for the competition of MCs and soundsystems.
